Giant Ginger Snaps & Monkeys on the Couch! - Episode #10

Brock and Marta take a sunny day to relax with their boys on the couch. Marta gives a successful first attempt at Ginger Snaps! They try a new Green Tea and read some viewers comments.
The exercises for your shoulder will help. Make sure you keep up with strengthening the rotator cuff as well. Having those muscles stretched can make for a very lax joint if you're not actively working on it.
I got knocked down in front of the net and someone fell on me as I was getting up. My arm was forced back in not a good way. This happened twice, once in Sept, and then again in Dec. Rotator was stretched but not torn (x-ray and ultrasound). It is OK. The delt on the other hand is really tight and I have a lot of exercises that I am doing for it. There is improvement daily.The only late night snacking comes from a bottle :-)We love our fruits and veggies, but also like grilling meat on the BBQ. Almost all meals are done on it (skinless chicken, butterfly chops, steaks, all fats removed). Joetta bought me a new grill basket. I'll do potatoes, onions, garlic, any kind of peppers (red, orange, yellow, green) Asparagus, Brussels sprouts.... Yummy, now I am hungry!!! LOLChat soon and look forward to the hew recipe.Greg
Hi Greg,How did you damage the delt? Was it a hit into the boards or did you fall on it? Did you damage the rotator cuff muscle as well? Great job dropping some weight. More fruit and veggies and less late snacking will definitely help. We've got a neat recipe for tomorrow...stay tuned!

Hello Brock and Marya,I am glad that my comments are appreciated :-) Positive feedback is always welcome I am sure.My friend who is a personal trainer and part owner in a health food store recommended the "L" to me and I have noticed a difference is my sleep patterns. Now I just have to rebuild the muscles in my shoulders. I damaged the Deltoid on my left arm playing hockey. I am currently doing Physio to regain movement and strength. Sucks getting old (51 yrs old) LOL The biggest difference came when I dropped 25 lbs, now at 194 lbs and holding comfortably (6' tall). I blame Joetta for the weight lose :-) more veggies and fruit and avoid eating anything late at night. I cook all the meals on the weekend, so I am trying a multiply of different healthy dishes for both of us.Keep up the good work, and as always, I look forward to the next episode.Greg
Of course we did! What's the point of doing this show if we didn't listen to our audience? :)This episode was also filmed earlier in the day so it was lighter outside. That might have contributed to the extra light.L-Glutamine is an important amino acid. Yes it will improve your sleep and speed muscle recovery. Magnesium is great for those things as well.Thanks for the support Greg!
Hello Marta and Brock,Wow you actually listened :-) Great change to the format. I am not sure about others, but the kitchen scene seems to be brighter. It could be that the camera tried to adjust for that back light? Anyhow, it is better. As for the wines corks, it must of been a great weekend(s) !!!!!! Where the "H" was I LOL. OK now Joetta is going to get me baking. Good thing for her that I like to tinkker in the kitchen.Chinese Green tea is one of my favorite teas. I normally have two three a day at work. In the evening I have started drinking chamomille and just before bed I'll make a shake with my "L guletamin" (spelling?) protien microionized powder, organic and bought from a very reputable heath food store - Alcona Health Shoppe. I now sleep like a rock.Keep up the great job and will continue to look forward to new episodes.All the best,Greg.
